INN? YOUTH HOSTEL, MAYBE. DON'T STAY HERE, August 11, 2008
|
Reviewer: Dariene from DC
Pros:
This establishment is in a relatively central, if gritty, area. Good water pressure in the shower.
Cons:
The weekend rate is outrageous for the quality! Rooms are not acceptable!

I wanted a room in Atlantic City under $300. With tax, the Saturday rate through this website was $266. For that money, I expect to at least be able to sleep through the night in a safe location. Boy, was I disappointed! Yes, the location is OK, and I realize Atlantic City is pricey on the weekends, but they couldn't find my pre-paid reservation and the check-in clerk couldn't have been less interested in helping us. The whole place felt like a youth hostel. Even in a youth hostel, you usually have somewhere to lock up your possessions. The deadbolt on my door didn't work, so I spent the whole night with a chair in front of the door (fire hazard!) The staircase was unlit, the hallway creepy and loud, and there is no phone in the room! I realize the "Inn" is in an old building, but there was at least a six inch incline in the room's floor from one side of the room to the other. You will be woken up by the sun at the crack of dawn, as the rooms do not have decent shades. Between that and the drunken revellers in the hallways, you won't get any sleep. And what is up with a "bed and breakfast" that doesn't include "breakfast"? the "Pub" looked like a gang hangout. Do NOT pay more than $30 a night for this place! YUCK! YUCK! YUCK! What a ripoff!
