|
Reviewer: MMMainardi from philadelphia
Pros:
The location on the boardwalk is great for visiting the beach, other casinos or just taking a walk.
Cons:
Front desk personnel are not overly friendly and the removal of Penny Heaven is a surekill.

We love staying at the Tropicana Hotel and Casino for several reasons. The location of the hotel on the boardwalk is perfect for going to the beach. It is also perfect for taking easy relaxing walks on the boards to the other nearby boardwalk casinos (Hilton, Bally's, Trump, etc). The walking can all be done on foot versus trying to catch a costly cab. The Havana is wonderful for food, shopping and fun. We have tried every restaurant in the Havana and by far our most favorite is the RED Square. The initimate dining there is beyond romantic. Here you are placed in your own dining booth surrounded by low lights, music and curtains for privacy. The food is fabulous and well worth a visit. Our only cons are with the forever internal remodeling. The floor is always in disarray with the re-modeling and each visit there seems to be no progress. It is a nuisance. Also, the removal of penny heaven was a surekill. That was the best area to which just to hang out and play slots.
