Affordable and Sufficient, August 4, 2008

Pros:
Located in a quiet area; comfortable beds; good air conditioning.
Cons:
The bathroom was not cleaned properly; it also had a constant smell of urine!

I found the Comfort Inn North to be a very nice place to relax and unwind. The hotel was conveniently located between our Jersey Shore and Atlantic City vacation routes. The room was also as pleasant and clean as it appeared in the virtual tour display on the internet, and the beds were comfortable! The fact that the air conditioning ran well was a plus!  Unfortunately, the bathroom was quite unpleasant - it smelled of urine although housekeeping visited each day, and the bathtub (shower curtain included) were stained with grime at the beginning of our stay. Also, the continental breakfast needs to be desparately upgraded with a better choice of foods and pastries.  Overall, we enjoyed our stay at the Comfort Inn North, and look forward to revisiting.

We are planning to stay there again this weekend - very clean, convenient and friendly staff. Would recommend to anybody who doesn't mind being slightly outside of Atlantic City - must drive to get to AC since the hotel is on a highway that can not really walk along - Otherwise was great - Staff and food were nice also

In a location near enough to the city to be convenient and far enough to avoid constant temptation, the Comfort Inn North is an excellent value with an awesome view of the city--if you can manage to board that side of the hotel. The staff was a little short with me when I asked about a room preference to face the city, but no matter which room, the bed is comfortable and the room is quite decent. Of course, there may be noise from adjoining guests and vast amounts of inconsideration by other guests, but as much could be expected in any AC hotel.

my wife and i stayed here for a single friday night. the reason we stayed here was the proximity to the marina area casinos in atlantic city. it was relatively inexpensive, but not a giveaway by any means. we paid $83 for the night with a triple A member discount. the location can be described as bleak. it is in a dark, marshy area near the water. it was raining and it smelled like eggs outside. as soon as we entered, we smelled glue. it turned out they had just put carpeting down somewhere ( i couldn't tell where ) and that was the reason it stunk so bad. the smell permeated throughout the motel and into our room on the 3rd floor. when i woke up in the morning, i had a sore throat. my guess is i got it from inhaling that smell all night. when i turned the shower on, the water came out brown. i let it run for a minute and it seemed to be okay, but i was totally grossed out by then. everything in the room is made of plastic or particle board, all bargain basement. the desk staff was always out of sight in a back room and i would have to call out for service. a couple of young girls seemed to be running the place and they were hardly eager to be of any help. i wouldnt stay here again.
