Pros:
No pros about this hotel, we did not feel safe in the area it was in with out family
Cons:
There were people that you would not want you family to be around hanging out in the lobby

As we drove up to this Super 8 with our family we had a very unsafe eerie feeling. It is in the ghetto, that is why you only see the hotel in the photo, not what is surrounding it. Directly on the side on the hotel was a mound on garbage. There were the wrong kind of people hanging out in the lobby, being loud and obnoxious. We were afraid of what it would feel like once night fall came. We decided not stay here, we cut our vacation short. We will be very cautious next time we book a hotel online.

on a non holiday it was $120 per night, free parking
Cons:
The neighborhood was bad. I was a bit nervous walking to the boardwalk.

To get to the boardwalk you have to walk past a local bar and some slummish buildings. At night there were some scary folks haning out and in the morning a guy that had his vehicle parked on the street out front got his tires slashed. We had quite a hike to get to any areas of interest. The room was clean, but I would expect to pay less due to the surroundings. The good thing was the Irish pub was close and serves inexpensive drinks w/live music on the patio. I will not stay here again. I suggest staying somewhere a little further south.

We were skeptical to book here based on reviews, but we were only going to be there two nights so we decided to give it a try. I called the Super 8 toll free # and made the reservation with no problem. We arrived 4 hours before check in time, but was told we could go ahead and check in. The check in price was even $1.00 less than it was when I made the reservation the day before. We only paid $124 for two nights. We have paid alot more than this at other chains on/near the boardwalk and been must less satisfied. The room was a nice surprise. The building is obviously old, but they have done alot of improvements and the room was quite nice! Clean, pretty and comfortable!! It had a 4-cup coffee maker, refridgerator, hair dryer, new heating/cooling unit and nice towels. The only improvement I thought the room needed was new carpet and thicker pillows. The lobby was a work in progress, but it was not bad at all. We did not attend the continential breakfast so I cannot comment on that. My only complaint would be that you had to pay for coffee in the lobby so I held out till morning when I made it in the room. Next time I'll just pack some extra coffee and creme.  Our car was parked near the office and it was fine. We felt very comfortable walking the 1/2 block to the boardwalk. We would definitely stay here again.Liked — $$, cleanliness and location////
Disliked — Had to pay for coffee in lobby, it should be free!
