From the moment we checked in it was clear to expect nothing if the Total Rewards card was not Platinum or better. Every service inquiry seemed to be met with the question "Are you a platinum or Diamond card holder?" Many years past one could reserve an atrium room. Evidently you only get that if the agent likes you. I was informed when I asked for an atrium room that there is a "Suite Committee" who decides. Seriously! Our room was supposedly renovated. The floor was dark wood and the room faced the new tower so it was very dark. The closet was a tiny space in the armoire and the bathroom had a vanity that stopped 2 inches short of the side walls. Whoever designed a hotel room with hard wood floors so every footfall could be heard and a vanity where your toiletries could slide off the side? Also the room adjoined another and every conversation could be heard through the door, even when our neighbors were speaking softly. The room service trays on the floor in the hall remained there all day, including an empty soda cup that was left outside our room before we arrived. The few restaurants that were available had always two lines; one for diamond and one for all others. Even the coffee shop! I won't say never again, especially if I need a room and it's the only comp in town, but I'll never pay for a room at Harrah's.

My fiance and I stayed at Harrahs March 7th. I have been here before a couple of years ago and to see the work done in the new tower was just amazing. It looks very beautiful and the rooms were extremely comfortable. I love coming to Harrahs because it's an escape from reality and a pleasurable getaway. I love coming here and will continue.

We went this past Valentine's for a romantic getaway. This was to be our first time at Harrah's. I made my reservation online and booked their Spa package. With the amount of free stuff they gave us, it felt like they were paying us to stay there. I called on the phone to extend my reservation and they added a second package to my stay. I was amazed at getting a free massage, free robes, and $150 in free food. The casino was very well maintained and kept clean at all times. We stayed in the Bayview tower. The room was huge and came with a tub and walkin shower. I used to pay the same for half the room at the Tropicana. There was never a wait for the elevator either!! We ventured out to the other casinos, but found ourselves just wanting to go back to Harrah's. And their aren't as many 85+ yr olds at Harrahs as their are at a lot of the other casinos. What I loved most about Harrah's was that there was more to do than just gamble. They have opened their new pool!! There is nothing more relaxing than to get a hot stone massage at Red Door then come to the pool and sit in your private cabana. Which to my surprise the cabanas were not expensive to rent. At night you can come back to the pool when they turn it into a dance club. The place looks totally different and a lot like South Beach when the club is set up. There was an ecclectic crowd, good music, and good drinks. Overall fabulous time!Harrah's is one of the nicer casinos in Atlantic City and will be our premiere destination when visiting. I highly recommend giving them a try!

Great Hotel, March 11, 2008
|
Reviewer: SlimRedhead from East Brunswick, NJ
Pros:
Nice clean rooms, free shuttle buses for Total Rewards members, discount coupons, late checkout.
Cons:
Harrah's isn't near any conveniences. You have to get a Jitney, a cab or shuttle bus to other areas.

I've stayed at Harrah's many times. As a Total Rewards member, I've gotten a lot of comped and discounted rooms. The rooms are clean and the service is good. Most of their rooms are newly renovated. If you're a Total Rewards member, there are a lot of benefits and perks, and the members get discount coupons and cash bonuses. The restaurants are okay....nothing to write home about. The location of the hotel is not the most convenient, but with the Total Rewards Shuttle bus, Total Rewards members can get around the boardwalk area and the other hotels affiliated with Harrah's. All of my stays were enjoyable ones. I'll definitely be at Harrah's again in the future! :)

There is lots of floor space covering the Casino/Hotel complex, could have used a good hand held map. The gaming floor could have used a hand held map also, esp. for smoking and non-smoking areas. Loved the shuttle to the casino's on the boardwalk. Spent time in other casino's and made an real trip out of a long week-end.

Well, our trip started by getting an upgrade to a small called an Atrium suite for free. The front desk person said they upgrade sometimes during the week. We signed up for a rewards card hoping to get back some money, we earned $7 in credits lol. One thing we highly recommend was the pool. We spent a few hours a day there and swam, relaxed in hot tubs and endulged in a few cocktails. I also had a nice experience at the Red Door spa, I recommend the Hot Rock therapy treatment. Restaurants and buffet were excellent (a bit pricey). Someone said they recently renovated and the whole casino looked nice. One thing we must warn you about is the parking garage, we new we were on the 4th floor but there are 2 garages, so we lost our car for a little.
