ON MY RECENT STAY AT HARRAHS I COULDN'T BELIEVE HOW BEAUTIFUL THE HOTEL IS. THEY HAVE REDONE THE CASINO AND THE POOL AREA. IT IS BEAUTIFUL JUST TO GET AWAY. THE RESTAURANT'S ARE VARIED AND THERE IS A SMALL FOOD COURT WHICH IS QUITE AFFORDABLE. THE DEALERS WERE FRIENDLY AND HELPFUL.

June 2008 Review, June 23, 2008
|
Reviewer: 9941maz from Bridgewater, New Jersey
Pros:
The Pool is exceptional - true oasis. Waterfront Tower rooms have plasma TV and new beds.
Cons:
Long Pool buffet lines. Waterfront Tower rooms have no bathtubs and little room for toilette items.

Enjoyable stay. Staff was personable. Food was good but slightly expensive for money in foodcourt and coffee shop.
I would rate the June Show only average for money. Comp drink service was only fair on weekdays. Wished that the Club" coffee shop had later hours.

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed your Waterfront Buffet in February of this year. It was one of the BEST buffets we have ever seen. We met the chef Ed Daggers and he showed us around. He really has a top notch facility going on there! Everytime we come to Atlantic City, we will be heading to that buffet restaurant. We not only compliment Harrahs for their quality but we applaud Harrah's for finding a quality chef in Mr. Ed Daggers! Keep up the good work! We will definitely be back!

We paid for the Harbor room but were upgraded to a Tower room. We could hear constructiuon, whcih went on daily from 7 am (though we were warned when we opted to accept the room). that was ok since we get up early anyway. View was spectacular.
A few too many leering construction workers for my taste - since the 'fast food' is located near the pool, they all tend to stand around and check out every female bathing suit wandering in for a snack. Pool party at night was not happening, not even open, since we were there sunday/Monday nights and there was no activities. That was a bummer.
I don't really gamble so not much comment there. The buffet was pricey given I am small and don't eat that much. It would be fine value if I had a gigantic appetite. The food was quite good at the buffet. shops are pretty good and there are even bargains. The best thing about the pool, besides that you can close your eyes and imagine you are in florida (except for the chlorine smell and the way sound echoed) - is that the bar opens at 10 and serves smoothie shakes (non-alc) that you can get with protein powder in it!! THAT is a great breakfast for any woman who will be sitting in public in a bikini all day!!

Me and my best friend since junior high went to AC for a lil Girl's Getaway...it was amazing! We got upgraded to a new WaterTower Suite... a m a z i n g!
The room was beautiful and the view was classic.Service all over the casino and hotel was top notch, however the waitress' at The Pool need to hurry up with the drinks already! (they seemed a little chatty) but The Pool itself, always EXCEEDS my expectations, love it!!!!! Total Rewards has really stepped it up with their shuttle service too, it was on time at all the stops, we didnt have to wait more then a couple minutes.

I was thrilled and very surprise to see Harrahs Atlantic. I never thought that the place is sooooo big and elegant. Our Bayview Tower accommodation was outstanding and felt that we were just at home during our 3 nites stay. I have been to so many hotels in Atlantic and what I noticed here at the Harrahs was quite different. The group of people staying or roaming around the casino are well or properly dressed. I was able to sleep good (whenever I find the time) because of the superb quality of the bed and linens; marvelous and rich looking bathroom. Room was very clean, welcoming, BIG, and well appointed. The pool dome was a sight to see especially at night. It seems that the entire Casino booms with excitement and activities, and at the same time relaxes you and entice you to a few days of stress-free living. It's a wonderful feeling of satisfaction being able to write an accolade instead of the otherwise for a casino resort. I will definitely recommend this place to friends and family without any reservations.

From the moment we checked in it was clear to expect nothing if the Total Rewards card was not Platinum or better. Every service inquiry seemed to be met with the question "Are you a platinum or Diamond card holder?" Many years past one could reserve an atrium room. Evidently you only get that if the agent likes you. I was informed when I asked for an atrium room that there is a "Suite Committee" who decides. Seriously! Our room was supposedly renovated. The floor was dark wood and the room faced the new tower so it was very dark. The closet was a tiny space in the armoire and the bathroom had a vanity that stopped 2 inches short of the side walls. Whoever designed a hotel room with hard wood floors so every footfall could be heard and a vanity where your toiletries could slide off the side? Also the room adjoined another and every conversation could be heard through the door, even when our neighbors were speaking softly. The room service trays on the floor in the hall remained there all day, including an empty soda cup that was left outside our room before we arrived. The few restaurants that were available had always two lines; one for diamond and one for all others. Even the coffee shop! I won't say never again, especially if I need a room and it's the only comp in town, but I'll never pay for a room at Harrah's.

My fiance and I stayed at Harrahs March 7th. I have been here before a couple of years ago and to see the work done in the new tower was just amazing. It looks very beautiful and the rooms were extremely comfortable. I love coming to Harrahs because it's an escape from reality and a pleasurable getaway. I love coming here and will continue.
