Hadn't been to Atlantic City in quite a few years and was more than pleasantly surprised at the Tropicana wonderful accommodations, pleasant surroundings, good food, spacious casino, quality entertainment and extremely comfortable. I recommend it highly and look forward to planning another trip in the near future.

Overall a pleasant experience. We would definitely stay there again, but I might bring my own comfortable sheet to put on the bed. I can live with the low water pressure. Hotel staff friendly, dealers and pit bosses in casino very friendly which was great. Choices to eat varied from inexpensive to expensive so you can eat within your own budget. We had a fun time, just wish we came home with money in our pocket!

We enjoyed the location of the hotel, right on the boardwalk and the outside pool area is awesome. The lack of staff willing to help you find your way was dissapointing. However after walking around for about an hour you can find your way. The Casino was nice and fun! the dealers for the most part were enjoyable while playing. The room was comfortable however stay away from the west wing. Long waits at the evelvator, walls are super thin you can hear everything and party in the hall ways seems to be okay to do. I had little sleep the last night there. Very dissapointed. Also stay away from the Comedy Club, by far the worst show and professional staff I have ever encountered. It started off being second in line and being told it was open seating to the manager letting nearly 50 people in ahead of us and seating was assigned. The manager was both rude and the staff were experts at lying. The waitress staff was excellent however. Finally our trip ended with my truck showing up at the door (vallet) with dents in the side. The employee responsible came right away and explained to me what happen, the manager for the vallet service was also very professional. They immediately took pictures and filled out the accident form. I am told that in a few days the hotel will contact me and take care of the situation. Out of all the people I encountered working at the hotel I believe these folks. Very professional with the whole situation. Overall we did have a wonderful time at the tropicana, just stay away from the west tower. Oh yeah the Best Dam Sports Bar is awesome!

Not disatisfied just disappointed. Paid lots of money. Promotions did not tell me how to use comp card. Paid for meals because I did not know that I could use it at the restaurants (All $115 of it). I live really far away so will not be back in time to use those points. Should make exceptions for military, i.e. extension of comp points and discounts. Promised free parking, but cost $5. Checked in with some package and got nothing special other than a coupon for $10. The room was okay just getting to it was the problem. The elevators in the West Tower are not adequate on the weekends. I waited 30 minutes to go down due to overcrowded elevators. Would have took the stairs but had my luggage in hand. No coffee pot in room. you would think for over $300 you could get a cup of coffee in the morning without going to the casino. The staff was really nice and there were plenty of waitresses to bring drinks. Bed was pretty comfortable although there was no control for AC. You got what you got. I would stay again but only with some special offer or reduced price.

This was our second stay. We found the hotel very much
improved. The front desk was VG. The service was VG.
I would not rate it 4* but it was good for the money.
Rooms were adequate, shops were great, casino was VG.
It is on the quiet side of the board walk.

The tropicana is a bright casino with a diversified shopping and eating area and a wide variety of games. If you are looking for a place to stay that is high quality but less pricy than the borgata, the Tropicana is the place for you. You can sit down to eat at P.F. Changs (west coast oriental cuisine) and Carmines (family style dining), or you can get a quick bite from their 24 hour convenient store. The poker room allows 24 hour texas hold-em and short waits to get on popular tables

First room in Havana Tower had old musky motel feel to it. Don't get away much & wanted more than a motel stay, so requested a new room and placed in North Tower. Better feel & big, comfortable bed, but still outdated bathroom, peeling wallpaper, and did not get the fabulous oceanview promised in package. Although a bit confusing getting around at first, we enjoyed the Marketplace, the Quarter, and fun at the endless slots (sure I'll have better luck next time). Great meals at Corky's BBQ and the Fiesta Buffet. Except for a mean cashier in casino, the hotel staff from valets, hotel front desk, to maid service were helpful and friendly. For a two night stay with complimentary show tickets and full buffet for two, $158 value not bad.

We love staying at the Tropicana Hotel and Casino for several reasons. The location of the hotel on the boardwalk is perfect for going to the beach. It is also perfect for taking easy relaxing walks on the boards to the other nearby boardwalk casinos (Hilton, Bally's, Trump, etc). The walking can all be done on foot versus trying to catch a costly cab. The Havana is wonderful for food, shopping and fun. We have tried every restaurant in the Havana and by far our most favorite is the RED Square. The initimate dining there is beyond romantic. Here you are placed in your own dining booth surrounded by low lights, music and curtains for privacy. The food is fabulous and well worth a visit. Our only cons are with the forever internal remodeling. The floor is always in disarray with the re-modeling and each visit there seems to be no progress. It is a nuisance. Also, the removal of penny heaven was a surekill. That was the best area to which just to hang out and play slots.
