The line to check in was ridiculously long, and as we got to the front we saw why. On one of the busiest weekends of the year, they only had THREE employees checking people in. There were about ten empty computers and they had one guy just to stand there and tell you which of the three lines you could go to when it opened up, in case you couldn't figure it out on your own! I forgot my toothbrush and tried to call down to see if they had one but was hung up on the first time, transferred to the casino floor the next, then was told i should just go a new one. I had to go to five different floors to find an ice machine that worked. Only thing that saved the stay was the fact that we were somehow upgraded to a suite and it was a fantastic room. Just wish the staff was as impressive

My fiance and I arrived March 25, 4:00 pm. A little slow on the confirmation but quickly gave us a upgrade. Celebrating her birthday was absolutely wonderful, we never had to leave the resort. No complaints,will definately return. :

The last minute plans to go to the Tropicana was a good idea, the hotel price was excellent, and affordable, the casino was a good experience and I loved the whole hotel room scenery, I wouldn't mind returning to the Tropicana if I ever had a last minute plan to run away from everyday bullshit and want to indulge myself in a atmosphere I can call my own...Thanks!!!

Over all I feel that the Tropicana is a very reasonable, clean, safe hotel. The employees are nice to you and it is still close enough to walk to shop and get back before you get to tired. I have a little trouble walking. I just enjoy the casino as well. Nice variety of slots as well.

The parking garage is filthy. It looks like it hasn't been cleaned or painted since it was built. The people at the front desk have a real attitude and rude. I saw it with other customers also so we didn't feel like it was just us. Two people said the same thing "We'll never stay here again". We stayed in the Quarter, the newer wing... I would hate to see the old wing. The place is a dump, dirty, hand rails in the elevators missing, marking on all of the walls. The room was adequate, just ok... nothing to write home about. The restaurants and the entrance is fine. Good appearance. The best thing is the IMax theater. That's one of the reasons I chose the Trop. Our last stay there wasn't that great. Well all in all it's still s dump. I would not recommend this hotel when there are soo many other to choose from.

This was my first stay inside an Atlantic City Casino, the tropicana is a beautiful hotel with so much to do within. The only complaint I have is the prices of the resturants inside it, if you want a good meal besides the hotel buffet your looking at a hefty tap, but all in all the service was great, the room was beautiful, and I'm making plans to come back and visit very soon.

The Tropican from the outside was beautiful and the casino had a great energy but as we waited in line to check in the next clerk called us over and rudely spoke to me and my friend and made inappropriate and uncomfortable remarks about our sexuality. Needless to say the stay there started off negative and when we went up to the room it was just so tacky. The towels in the bathroom are kinda small and didn't really fit and just the entire hotel experiences just wasn't pleasant. Although, I very much enjoyed the casino and the variety of slots and tables it had. I will not be returning to the tropicana to stay but would like to stop by the casino the next time I visit atlantic city.

Was here the first time by car and found the parking arrangement "tricky". The check-in was really bad. We were told they only had smoking rooms despite the fact that we had a reservation for non-smoking. After insisting we got a non-smoking room though, it is just annoying to go through this after a car travel and late at night. The room was in a surprisingly bad condition: holes in the wall, the wall paper looked really crappy and the spaces behind the bed and bedside table hadn't seen a vacuum in a long, long time. Also no liquid soaps in the bathroom at the first day. Elevator availability during check-in & check out time was really bad. I ended up walking down the stairways and made my way through a cloud of urine smell. Again no clearing here. However there were upsides too. The location is great: Good entertainment, excellent casino and a great location to explore the board walk. I didn't like the In-house food options, which have the charme of a "mall"-cafe. Great again the accessibility of bars, clubs and restaurants in the "Quarter". Whether you like it or not, there are lot of young people in the casino, but they were generally not too outrageous in their behaviour and provided some "live" to the hotel athmosphere. Also the room-service was nice and accommodating. Overall I'd say a decent deal for the money if you are fine with a subpar hotel room.

 Had a really great time; friends from other casinos/hotels came to Trop because there were so many things to do!!! There were always employees around to help out. Will definately return with even more friends!

There was a smell in the hallway when we got off of the elevator. I reported it and it was handled by the next time we came to the room. The the room was more than adequate, beds were comfortable but they need to redo the decor. Everything was striped, the walls, the window curtains and even the shower curtains. The bathroom could have used some towel racks or hooks.
