It was pleasant styin there and well worth the money for LDW! Ill def go back! Oh and we woke up late and they were nice enough to let us take showers and get out without being charged! hows that for service?

I really enjoyed my experience at the Tropicana. It was in a convenient location that allowed people to walk from one casino to the other. There were plenty of activities to choose from in the hotel itself. It is a place for people to go who both like and do not like to gamble. While some of my friends were playing at the tables, I could walk around to the different slot machines. Also, if a person is not big into gambling, they could walk around the promenade and look at the different shops or stop by and have a cocktail at one of the many bars to choose from. In addition to the wide variety of restaurants and bars, it had some dance clubs available for those who enjoy that kind of environment. Overall, I liked how the Tropicana could suit a wide variety of people with all they have to offer.

Have stayed here several times this past year and will continue to go back. Re: other reviews, I have always gotten into room by 3 pm at latest and there have always been 6 or more folks working check in desk. We get comp room depending on day of week or minimal price in North tower ($79) or this last stay used this website and got $71 incl 2 coffees/2 pastries from Starbucks. Beds are new & comfortable with enough pillows and have had great ocean views at times. Rooms always very clean. I only play the slots & machines and my husband goes to horse race book room and we get comped rooms with coupons for discounts off meals and shops, free show tickets without spending alot. Shows are pretty good, not Vegas caliber, but good quality. Enjoyed the Beatles Yesterday show- would highly recommend it. We love to walk/bike on the boardwalk so enjoy the Trops location. Great restaurants such as Carmine's (from NYC), the BBQ restaurant is also very good and not expensive. Had a great $5.99 breakfast there this past visit. We just ate at their seafood buffet last visit and the food was very good- my husband states best crab legs he's ever had, and he's had many... Their new "havana" wing has nice clubs, shops and restaurants, enjoyable to walk and browse through with look of old Havana streets.
Have stayed at Borgata and while nice, not much difference regarding rooms, beds, etc. and not worth the extra $$.
We have never had a bad experience at the Tropicana. Staff is always helpful , rooms always clean, food always good. Will continue to go there.

My husband and I were very happy staying at the Tropicana. The rooms were wonderful, the hotel itself was enjoyable to walk around, the pools were nice, and the staff was wonderful. We even at drinks and an appetizer at the Top of the Trop, which was very good. I would definitely go back. You can't beat the price.

When ever I am in Atlantic City, I alway stay at Tropicana. Everyone is just so friendly there. There service is excellent and I always win in Tropicana. The rooms in Tropicana are very beautiful and checking in was very fast and easy. The restaurants in Tropicana are amaizing. My wife and I always have a blast there. I can't wait to go back. Tropicana is highly recommended to everyone!!

We checked in our room and when we got into the room, there was an open bag of goldfish sitting on the table. The room had no visitor books, coffee machine didn't work and was very bare. Also, there was no "do not disturb" sign and housekeeping woke us up in the AM. We got a really good deal on the room so we weren't too upset about the room. The Tropicana in general is good. We liked the shopping and restaurants the most.

We arrived at the hotel on Sunday at 1pm, and waited in line for about 45 mins to check-in, and were told to come back at 3pm to see if our room was ready. We thought that our wait in line to check-in was bad, but we were lucky - by the time we were done checking in, the line was at least 10 times as long. Certainly the wait had to be over 2 hours at this stage, and there were only 2 people working at the reception. I would never stay in this hotel again, for fear of having to wait that long to check in. What a terrible way to have to start your vacation! The check-in, and wait to get to your room takes up a huge chunk of your day. This is not acceptable! They really need to get their act together. Also, many of the staff we encountered on our stay were not helpful or friendly in the least (with the exception of the very nice lady who checked us in). In short, if the hotel was better managed, it would be a great place to stay. Lots to do on site & a great location.

Worst experience of my life!!! Arrived at 11pm and attempted to check in . Was told to come back and could check in at 2pm. Waiting on line from 2-3 and was told to come back to wait for room key after 4:30pm. Waiting on key line from 4:30 - 5:30 pm and finally got to room about 6pm!!!!! I have travelled to many different places around the world and have nevere waited more than 15 minutes to check in anywhere. I certainly never checked in for 6pm, which by the way is on their website for their Sunday check-ins. Whoever heard of a hotel check in for 6pm!!!
Seaside Cafe was a terrible experience as well. Waiter finally took our order for drinks and then forgot to bring them. He came back 15 minutes later and asked us what we wanted to drink again. It also took 45 minutes to get our simple order of pancakes. We got our drinks with the pancakes! This rude waiter never apologized and even though we thanked him for everything he brought us, he never responded with a "your welcome". When we finally got our bill he was sure to take his time checking to see if we left him a tip!
I would never stay at this hotel again. Do yourself a favor and book another hotel and save yourself from total disappointment.

I have never been so disgusted by the service that I recieved in a hotel/casino. The front desk was rude. The staff was rude. There was nothing positive about my experience. I've been to Atlantic City on at least 7 separate occassions and this was my third time staying at the Tropicana. I'm not sure what happened in the last year and a half but last december this was the place to be. I can honestly say that I will never consider Tropicana as a place to stay in Atlantic City and I will be sure to spread the word out to everyone that I know. This is my first time writing an online review. That's how upset I am by how I was treated.

it was justa quick stay booked room for 120.00 the night before, parrived after 6:00pm Played poker from 7:30-10:00 went to bar had a few beers went to craps table till 1Pm hit the rack
up and out by 8:30. Place was exciting and would go again.
