What is RSS?
How often have you discovered an interesting website and bookmarked it, only to never return to it? You might have meant to, but in a world filled with billions of competing web pages it's easy to forget those bookmarked sites.
What if instead, you could arrange to have those sites of interest send you their latest news and features? No more clicking from site to site. No more relying on memory. The content is delivered directly to you. That's what RSS is all about.
You can get the latest headlines, articles, reviews (or even music files, photographs or video) in one place, as soon as they are published, without having to remember to revisit the sites producing the content. Simply by subscribing to an RSS Feed, you get to keep up to date with the very latest information that you are interested in.
How do I start using RSS feeds?
RSS feeds are a little like email, in that they are delivered to you. Instead of an email client, however, you use an RSS News Reader to view the feeds. There are many good news readers available (either as software applications that can be downloaded, or as web services that can be accessed in your browser). Once you have a news reader available, you can subscribe to any of the RSS feeds offered by sites like ours that regularly publish information in this format. As you surf web sites, keep an eye out for orange RSS buttons like the ones displayed to the right here. These will lead you to the URL of the RSS feed to which you can subscribe (sometimes all you have to do is drag the orange button over to your new reader to become subscribed to the feed).

How do I get a news reader?
There are many news readers available to choose from. Most are either
free, or have a "lite" version which can be upgraded for a nominal
amount. If you have a Windows operating system, we recommend you
try the Awasu news reader.

Can I use these feeds on my site?

Absolutely. Provided you respect the intent of the feeds, which is
to guide visitors to the source of the feed, you can add our RSS
feeds to your site. This means that the content of the feeds, such
as the feed URL, should remain intact so that visitors to your site
can subscribe directly to our feeds. Please read our

If an XSL stylesheet is available
for the feed, you can make a copy and customize it so that the feed
displays on your site to your liking.
