I Stayed On: April 21, 2010    I stayed here because: Price, location
Would I recommend it? Most Likely    My visit was for: Family Vacation    My Age is: 35 - 49

The hotel is at one end of the boardwalk. Our kids loved that the steel pier was right there and the beach ofcourse. The hotel was clean and rooms very big and nice. Beautiful floor to ceiling views in the Chairman tower of the ocean. The buffet was good but overpriced. Very impressed with the omelet chef! The casino was smoky and the 10 dollar tables crowded while 25 dollar tables empty. They should have opened the 25 dollar tables for blackjack to 10 so people did not have to wait or just leave like we did. I was very disappointed in the front desk staff. They had canceled our reservation and it took 30 minutes to reinstate it while our kids were tired and we had to sit around the lobby and wait. Don't leave anything in the sheets. My toddler left her blanket in the bed and we went off and so did her blankie to the laundry service company and we were told by housekeeping it was gone and not coming back. Nice! My other daughter put her teddy bear down in the lobby while we were waiting for the front desk to get their act together and someone took it. Lost and found not helpful at all. Would not stay there again mainly because the other Trump plaza and hotels down the other end of the boardwalk looked like they were in a better area of Atlantic city. Taj mahal was not close to shopping and outlets stores but we could have taken a shuttle there too.

I Stayed On: March 2, 2010    I stayed here because: price and previous stayed
Would I recommend it? No Way    My visit was for: Romantic Getaway    My Age is: 25 – 34

I booked a reservation for my parents 29th anniversay online. Once they arrived and tried to check-in the reservation was no where to be found. Luckily, I had given all the email confirmations I had recieved from the hotel and the website confirming thier reservation. They had to wait over an hour to get the situation cleared up and actually get into a room and they were not even compensated with a room upgrade or meal offer. The buffet closed at 8pm and the only resatuarnt in the hotel that was open served Indian cuisine. Also, they had to use a parking lot because the Taj's parking garage was not sufficient to park an oversized pickup truck with a cabin and double axle. I have stayed in many hotel as I travel alot for work and have never dealt with such arrogance. I hope that it was just a glich in thier system and that they hotel staff were just having a bad day. I might be willing to try the Taj again but I have doubts about thier reservation system and thier employees that lack respect and knowledge of thier own reservation bookings.

October 11, 2009 - October 12, 2009. I went for a one night stay and to see a show at the hotel. My next visit will be for more than one night. I was very pleased with the booking of the room, the easy check-in and check-out, and the room was big and clean. Staff was friendly. The only buffet in the hotel was over-priced and the staff was not friendly. I would definitely recommend this hotel, and on my next visit I will stay at this hotel and book my stay through achotel.com

This was our first visit to Atlantic City. We brought our 3 teenage/adult children 15, 18 and 20. The hotel was very beautuful and stunning upon first entry. The check in desk staff was very courteous. A mistake was made in our booking, so we were upgraded to the Chairman Tower rooms at no additional cost! The rooms were very clean, commfortable and luxurious. The location on the boardwalk was great. Easy access to the beach. The kids enjoyed the pool. We stayed 2 nights and loved the late checkout time! I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone--at least the Chairman Tower rooms. I know this part is a new section. I do not know what the other section is like.

Other than the long check in time, I don't have anything to complain about. From the first greeting of the valet to the bellmen; everyone was friendly and extremely helpful. I was traveling with my 2 sons ages 12 and 11, and their excitement at seeing the beautiful room for the first time was priceless. To me, the most important thing is feeling like you are staying in a clean environment; and I had no doubts that we were. The lobby, lounges, and hallways were equally clean. We were able to enjoy the pool area, which offered towel service and little lockers for the price of a quarter for small items. Although no lifequard, the staff does a good job making sure safe rules are followed. Great location to steel pier and quick beach access. I would highly recommend the Tajmahal!

The hotel is very pretty. The room pleasant to look at. Not enough blankets on beds and no extras in closets. The ironing board cover had multiple stains on it. Covered with towel to iron garmets. Housekeeping knocked on door at 8:45am to clean room. We were still sleeping. Doorman very rude. Some of the bell staff nice, others not so nice. Some of the other staff pretty rude as well. But the woman in customer relations was very pleasant. I don't think I would stay there again.

We love staying in the Chairman's Towers with the beautiful window view. Our room was on the "91st floor" but we were really around 40 floors up which I found a bit deceiving. Nonetheless our stay of 2.5 days was luxurious & classy. Our king size bed was uber comfy and the view of the atlantic ocean made it more beautiful. The towels and washclothes were a bit scarce though (only 2???) Otherwise this hotel is highly recommended and we'd definately stay there again!

We had a wonderful Time. It was a quick get-a-way for us. Unfortunatly only one night. But the room was elegant and very comfy. And we had a good time playing the casino...even though we didn't fare well.. Maybe Next time?! If we make it agian we want to try one of the nicer restraunts. This time we went to hard rock cafe for dinner, whcih was good, just want to try an upscale dinner.
