Tropicana has on of the best locations with a large amount to do. Besides having a large casino area, I found that the resturants in the hotel will follow every persons budget. I had dinner at Red Square and the Siberian Nachos are out of this world. The price you pay is well worth it. Even though I didn't eat at it, the fiesta buffet was always busy making me believe that the food was really good for a buffet. Night life is great. Options are nearly endless with the amount of clubs and bars. The beach is right there for you so there is no real travel time besides the elevator to your room. If its raining, thats ok! There is tons to do there. I went to the blue mercury spa and recieved great treatment and one of the best massages as well. The down side was that the rooms were slightly outdated. There are no fans in the bathroom and it will steam up very quickly which isn't that nice when you are trying to get ready for the night out. Also, the room wasn't very well cleaned. I was really confused on why they didn't take a glass that was used the night before.Even though that doesn't sound great, the room is so comfortable. You will be relaxed as soon as you lay down and will have a great night sleep.I would go back to this place again.

The rooms are very good with great views. The quarter are at certain times to crowded. It is difficult to walk around during peak hours. The Buffet staff are unfriendly and not professional. Staff also tend to be unfriendly. One expect friendly staff at a hotel.

All in all I enjoyed my stay at the Tropicana. I went for 2 nights with my teenage son to celebrate end of school. We were told when booking hotel reservation that hotel check-in would start at 3pm and if we arrived earlier that we could still check-in. We decided to hit the Outlet shops before checking in to hotel so that we would not need to go back during our stay, therefore, we did not arrive at hotel until 7pm. We waited on line about 25 minutes to be told that our room STILL was not ready which I couldn't believe since we arrived almost 4 hours after check-in. I was offered a smoking room instead and since I was extremely tired from the ride there and all the shopping I decided to take it. Well upon exiting the elevator I could not believe how badly the floor reeked of cigarettes, even though there was a sign that prohibited smoking in the hallway/elevator areas. The room had a cigarette smell first night but after that it was fine, just every time we took elevator we were assaulted by the smell of cigarettes. Now on the to the good part. The hotel's Casino/The Quarter/Marketplace areas were absolutely great. We truly enjoyed our dining experiences. We also went to their IMAX theater one night with it's great screen and comfy seating. The Boardwalk offered something for everyone -- shopping, bike rentals, arcades, restaurants.Housekeeping was also very quick in providing us with a network cable we requested to connect to their free internet. Check-out was pretty seamless I just pressed the front desk/check out button on the phone and left information prompted and dropped our keys off at the elevator at the drop box and we were on our way out.I would defintely return to the Tropicana would just keep my NON-SMOKING reservation next time and would hope that room is ready upon arrival whether it be late or early.

Valet worth it. Price worth it. West Tower good view. Got free cookie at easy checkout. Easy check in. Maid service needs improvement. Rug very dusty at edge and lamps dusty. Room does have small fridge. Suggest get new sheets.
Got lucky on tables and slots.

I have to say, the outside decor was beautiful. The nightlife was nice, we went to Cuba Libre for my best friend's bachelorette party and she really enjoyed it. However, I have always booked a smoking room. And I've stayed in smoking rooms @ different locations in AC. This room @ the Tropicana was STALE. It smelled so bad that I, who am a smoker was grossed out. I don't know what other rooms do to make it not smell, but you need to call them up and find out. The room was expensive for no reason bc there was nothing glamorous about the room. Regular TV, small frige and the bathroom wasn't really cleaned well. I would recommend this hotel only if you are going to not spend so much time in the room. The nightlife, decor and the view was great, just the room part really sucked.

My overall experince was not a good one. I originally received an email that check in time was at 3pm and check out time was at 11am. However when we arrived at the hotel at 2:45pm and to our surprise were told that we couldn't officially check in until 5:30pm. Due to the fact our room wasn't ready. I have been a guest in many hotels and the handling of check in/ key pick-up is a huge waste of time for guests in addtion to staff. It is beyond me why a guest must first wait on one line to check in then told to come back hours later and form yet another line hours later to actually receive your too
keys. I fully understand that the hotel was extremely busy however as a guest I travel to relax and the stress of forming a line to check in, key pickup, & even the line to get in the elevator, was so over the top stressful, no compansation for the guests for example; when asked what was check out time we were told 11am. If a guest was forced to check in 2 1/2 hrs later then it would have been courtesy to offer a later check out time. My overall experience was not a pleasant one and when asked if I would return to your hotel I would have to say with a heavy heart no! I truly hope that my comments and suggestions can help future guest experience what we did. Best of luck!

Overall the hotel is very nice with exceptions of the smokeing section. . The minute i steped off the elevators i felt as if i steped into a burning building. I stongly suggest that if your looking for last minute deals an the hotel is only offering the smokeing and your not a smoker refuse it.

This hotel was Ok for the money. After the Visit to the Web Site I was hooked. When I pulled up the valet parking was great, check in was quick no problems. The people at the counter very friendly and helpful . When I opened the door to my Room "holly porken beans" Well that's a different story. The room seemed nothing like the photo . It was kind of dull and run down looking. Some of the furniture was peeling lol and the remote control, well the button kept getting stuck . The hotel is huge so plan to do a lot of walking . Once you get to the public area hey man it's on you will have a great time. When you get back to the Room Oh Well . In closing if you don't plan to spend a lot of time in the room hey man go for it all the girls walking around were hot!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! lol lol .

I'd like to start off by saying i've stayed at many AC casino's and this was by far my worst experience. I picked the Tropicana this time because there was only 2 going and it was the cheapest casino to stay at, now we know why. We started off our stay on a line to check-in that took about 30mins, when we got up to the room it smelled, the dresser and nightstand were falling apart, the fidge didn't even keep our drinks cold, it was very plain. We decided to go gamble a bit, every table we were at the dealers were very rude. We went to 'Rumba Lounge' a bartender started to talk to us then put is finger up and said 1 minute to talk to another customer and he never returned to take care of us, we waited another 15 minutes to get served by another rude bartender. The night went from there, I made the best out of it but the stay was not worth the money and I will never stay here again...

I stay at the Tropicana everytime I go to AC. I love the location and the atmosphere in the hotel. The Quarter is awesome!--many shops and restaurants! I love everything about the Tropicana except for the rooms. I always find that they don't really clean the rooms. Also, there is no radio to listen to music. The Trop is one of the least expensive casino hotel so I guess I can't complain much, also because I hardly stay in the room-only to get ready, and sleep for a few hours.
