Disappointment with what appeared to be a promising newer motel., September 2, 2008

Pros:
New building but lacking in daily cleaning and regular maintenance.
Cons:
We turned down the covers after a long day on the boardwalk, and found sand ants in the bed spread

We called the front desk to advise about the ant problem. While the responce was quick, the resolution was less than satisfactory. We did not even get a new bed spread. We were offered a different room which would have been a lesser room and for only for one night. In the 2 remaining days, the remedies promised, were never realized.(steam cleaning the sticky carpet and floors). Which is the probable cause of the ant infestation. In addition the chamber maid cheaped out on soap, towels and cleaning. While the room has decent ammenities, the service leaves much to be desired. We reserved a jacuzzi room and expected towels for the hot tub and towels for the shower, which were only provided on the first night. In addition no soap and shampoo were provided on the second and third nights of our stay.
