From the moment we checked in it was clear to expect nothing if the Total Rewards card was not Platinum or better. Every service inquiry seemed to be met with the question "Are you a platinum or Diamond card holder?" Many years past one could reserve an atrium room. Evidently you only get that if the agent likes you. I was informed when I asked for an atrium room that there is a "Suite Committee" who decides. Seriously!

Our room was supposedly renovated. The floor was dark wood and the room faced the new tower so it was very dark. The closet was a tiny space in the armoire and the bathroom had a vanity that stopped 2 inches short of the side walls. Whoever designed a hotel room with hard wood floors so every footfall could be heard and a vanity where your toiletries could slide off the side? Also the room adjoined another and every conversation could be heard through the door, even when our neighbors were speaking softly.

The room service trays on the floor in the hall remained there all day, including an empty soda cup that was left outside our room before we arrived.

The few restaurants that were available had always two lines; one for diamond and one for all others. Even the coffee shop!

I won't say never again, especially if I need a room and it's the only comp in town, but I'll never pay for a room at Harrah's.
